MSU student team wins the first runner-up of the EGAT Animation Awards 2021 project, Northeastern Region
 
November 10, 2021, Mahasarakham University together with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) organized the EGAT Animation Awards 2021 project in the Northeastern region under the concept ?Electricity: Happiness, Sustainability and Fresh Air?. This project aims to encourage youth to gain knowledge on energy, to be aware of solving air quality problems and to create valuable media, as well as to create a network of cooperation between EGAT, educational institutions, youth and the Public Relations Department. 

There were over 54 teams participating in the competition and 3 teams were selected in the final round to get opinions and suggestions from the Board of Directors from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. Each team will receive a scholarship to produce creative energy media in animation form entitled Electricity: Happiness, Sustainability and Fresh Air. The details of awards are as follows:
     -The winner: Out of The Dark team from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Buriram Rajabhat University received 30,000 baht with certificates and souvenirs.
     -The 1st runner up: Bolt City Team from Faculty of Informatics Mahasarakham University received 20,000 baht with certificates and souvenirs.
     -The 2nd runner-up: a teal team from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Khon Kaen Vocational College received 10,000 baht with certificates and souvenirs.

In addition, there are online workshops by speakers from Imagimax Animation & Design Studio and Wink Wink Production Co., Ltd to provide knowledge of EGAT s mission, environmental stewardship, storytelling for animation and communication ethics.
